Free ‘Funky Town’ Festival Is On Its Way ToEstepona For Noche De San Juan – Simply Shuttles

Image
We may be in the midst of a cost-of-living crisis around the world right now, but that adage about the best things in life being free remains, in many cases, very true. And it might be especially true in Estepona this summer, when a free music festival is set to take place on the beach of La Rada.  Specifically, the festival is scheduled to be held from 10pm on Thursday, 23 rd June, coinciding with La Noche de San Juan – otherwise known as San Juan Night.  What is San Juan Night?  For those who are unaware – perhaps because they don’t routinely visit Spain and arrange Málaga Airport transfers to Estepona – La Noche de San Juan is a festival marked by ritual, and celebrated up and down Spain in commemoration of the year’s longest day and the shortest night.  San Juan Night therefore provides Spaniards – and those visiting the country – with plentiful reason to party through to the small hours of 24 th June. And when it comes to those celebrations in ...

4 Of The Biggest Animal-Oriented Attractions On The Costa Del Sol - Simply Shuttles

Image
Let’s face it; when you’re arranging Málaga Airport private hire services for your next trip to the Costa del Sol, you might think of sun, sea, sand, and hedonism. But the region’s credentials as a place for close encounters with fascinating wildlife may not come to your mind quite so quickly.  So, we thought we’d correct some of that, with a rundown of a few of the sights and sounds in this part of Andalucia that will make you feel a little more acquainted with our animal friends.  BioparcFuengirola  At the time of us writing this blog post, this modestly-sized, but well-designed zoo was listed on Tripadvisor as “#1 of 52 things to do in Fuengirola”, and we can easily understand why.  After all, it is far from ‘just another’ zoo in the old-school sense of what we might think a zoo to be; instead, it is based on a new model of animal park that centres a respect for nature and the sensitive preservation of natural species.  There are currently more than...

Image
Of all the many attractions of the southern Spanish city and municipality of Marbella, one of the greatest surely has to be the locality’s many alluring beach clubs. The best ones offer the finest in luxury, comfort, design, great food, and excellent service.  But it’s also true that not every beach club in Marbella will suit every kind of visitor. So, for this particular blog post, we’re going to zoom in on three of the Marbella beach clubs that are especially likely to appeal to your hedonistic side.  Nikki Beach  We were always going to mention this one first, weren’t we? Nikki Beach Marbella might have ‘only’ opened as recently as 2003, but it has gone on to be regarded as the quintessential Marbella beach club.  This open-air venue being attached to the five-star Don Carlos Resort & Spa should tell you something about its vibe; serious partying with serious luxury and style. While events typically take place across the summer here, the grand s...

Málaga Airport Sees The Spanish Mainland’s Strongest Recovery In International Traffic

Image
If you have been wondering just how much of a ‘hit’ the Costa del Sol area of Spain is among overseas visitors at this point after the acute phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, the short answer is… a big one!  Indeed, according to a recent SUR in English report, tourism in the southern Spanish region is gradually edging its way back to pre-pandemic levels, to the extent that the number of foreign passengers arriving at Málaga Airport during the first four months of 2022 was 82% of the level seen prior to the coronavirus crisis. In fact, the news outlet said that the airport recovered a greater amount of international traffic than any other in mainland Spain during the aforementioned period.  This is all according to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, which released data indicating that only the Spanish islands have recovered international air traffic to a greater degree than Málaga.  What else can be seen from the statistics?  The SUR in En...
